My name is Nadina. I am the owner and administrator of Jump Start! I have lived in Geauga County my entire life and have over 30 years experience working with children. I have a bachelors degree in early childhood development from Kent State. I have been an in home child care provider, preschool teacher, administrator, substitute teacher and most importantly, a mom. I am married to my wonderful husband, Michael. We live in East Claridon and have 3 beautiful children; Mekaylie, Nathon, and Maliah. In my free time I enjoy teaching, creating activities for the preschool, shopping, cooking, fitness, spending time with family, organizing and being creative!

My name is Mekaylie. I am the lead teacher at our Burton Jump Start location! I am newly married to my husband, John, and we are currently building our first home in Troy. I have been working with children since I was about 13, and couldn’t imagine doing anything else! My love and passion for teaching grows every single day. I feel so fortunate to have been able to begin my career alongside my mom, who is my biggest role model/mentor. I love the excitement and energy that comes with working with preschoolers. Seeing their smiling faces, exchanging laughs and big hugs, and watching them learn and grow everyday brings so much warmth to my heart. Outside of teaching, I am currently enrolled online through The University of Cincinnati to earn my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. I also enjoy hand-crocheting blankets, doing Cricut crafts, going shopping, getting coffee, going on long walks, and spending time with family and friends.
Hi Everyone! My name is Laura and I am the assistant teacher in Chardon. I have been married to my husband Dan for 25 years. I have two children ages 18 and 21 and we live on a hobby farm in Claridon. We have horses, goats, chickens and alpacas! I enjoy traveling, working in my flower gardens and spending time with my family. I have worked with littles in after care , been a bus driver and an aide in Kindergarten. I have also enjoyed combining my love for children and horses through teaching horseback riding lessons. Preschool is my favorite age and I love watching them learn new things as they begin their educational journey!
My name is Ashley and I will be floating between the Chardon and Burton locations of Jump Start Preschool. I live in Munson Township with my husband, Chase, and two daughters, Palmer and Blake.
I have my master’s degree from Miami University in Speech Language Pathology and have been a practicing therapist in hospital settings since 2013.
In 2024, I started a cut flower farm at our home which has brought me so much joy. In my free time, I enjoy reading, baking, and spending time with my husband and kids.
After seeing my oldest flourish with the Jump Start program, I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing team who truly give their best to each child. I can’t wait to meet you!
